CJLA News : June 2008
Can you believe it? Here it is the end of June already! The year is half over and most of the CJLA shows have been completed. Be sure to get your entries in for the rest of the 2008 CJLA sanctioned shows. The Surf-n-Turf Show in July is the last sanctioned show for lambs and hogs. After that, there are just a few shows left for goats, steers, and heifers. I hope you will all continue to support these shows as they all work really hard to put on great events for you. With the higher gas prices that have hit us all, you may want to look at alternative transportation options, such as hauling with friends. There is no reason to miss out on things you want to do, it may just take some additional planning.
The shows include in this issue are listed at the bottom of this column. The CJLA now has a website – www.californiajuniorlivestock.org. The points will be on the website and will be updated with each issue of the Pacific Showcase. I will try to have another update on the website before the August/September issue, so check there regularly. If you have questions, you can e-mail me through the site and I will answer you, or you can still call us on the phone anytime! If there is anything you would like to see on the website, or suggestions you have, please let us know, as we always like to hear from you.
Contact: Mary Ann Bush (831) 623-4316 or Heidi Beljean (408) 776-0333.
